Albury Wodonga Family Law Pathways Network

Who are we?

The Albury Wodonga Family Law Pathways Network is funded by the Australian Government through the Attorney General’s Department. We are a network of organisations in the Albury Wodonga region who provide services to separating families. Some examples include Family Relationship Services, the Hume Riverina Community Legal Service, Family Lawyers, Legal Aid, the Federal Circuit Court, Child Protection and Family Violence services.

What do we do?

UMFC auspices the Family Law Pathways Network Coordinator to facilitate the network. The Network Coordinator reports to the Albury Wodonga Family Law Pathways Network Steering Committee. The Steering Committee meets quarterly with the purpose of providing direction, support and development of the annual work plan.

The purpose of the Network is to assist Family Law service providers, through collaboration and strong relationships, to improve outcomes for families. We aim to improve collaboration and coordination by: promoting awareness of services, conducting cross-sectoral training, and providing opportunities for the Network members to interact and be informed about the Family Law service system in order to develop a better understanding of member’s roles.

We do this by:

  • working together to achieve better outcomes for clients
  • providing opportunities for the Network members to interact and be informed about the Family Law service system in order to develop a better understanding of member’s roles
  • developing stronger links between the Family Law Courts, legal profession and community service organisations, including Family Violence and Child Protection services
