The Primary Purpose of Child FIRST is to ensure that vulnerable children, young people & their families are effectively linked into relevant services to promote children & young peoples healthy development & wellbeing. Child FIRST provides intake, assessment, referral, information & advice to families, the Community & professionals. Child FIRST seeks to support a more integrated and coordinated approach to intake into Family Services within the catchments, by developing a strong profile within the Upper Hume & Central Hume catchments, with a strong focus on establishing productive relationships with key local services & professionals.
